Lead for connecting any Garmin or TomTom gps into the BMW harness
BMW very kindly provide a plug in the harness for you to hard wire your Garmin Zumo or TomTom into. This lead plugs straight into this plug and can then be spliced into the lead supplied with your gps. It can be found under the headstock or by the battery on F800 bikes.
Plug and Play!
Lead length 0.5 metre-
Your GPS will now be powered up and off with the ignition with no risk of battery drainage!
This kit fits:
F650GS (08 on)
R1200GS/Adventure all years including mark 2 and mark 3 versions
R1200GS LC 2013 on
R1200Adventure LC 2014on
R1200RT LC (2014 on)
The Canbus connector on the R1200RT LC is located in the area behind the meter panel. Need to remove windshield and a panel behind it to access.
R NINE T (2015 on)
For S1000R on left side of chassis under the fairing there are three sockets - the one needed is the one closest to the centre line of the bike.
On mark 3 S1000R under front left of fuel tank
S1000RR 2015 onwards
K1200GT ('06 on)/1300GT
NOTE: There is no GPS connecting point on the early S1000RR and early R NINE T's - strange but true - BMW did not provide GPS provision on these bikes until 2015 - check your bike.
OUR CUSTOMER JAMES M. SAYS ABOUT THE R NINE T -It is located just to the left of the 12v BMW outlet. Its kinda tucked back but its there.- so perhaps it is there !
(We would suggest that for these bikes you look in our GPS Accessories section or you use your phone to navigate and look in our Phone mounts and cases section.)
Wires are numbered and need connecting as follows:
No 1 lead earth
No 2 Do not use
No 3 to red lead on sat nav
On S1000RR connect as following
1 Red 2 Black 3 Not used Works great and turns on and off with ignition
