This base plate is not a good product. I have an R1200gs and the base plate is superb. However, I hate the way this one sticks to the tank with Velcro, and there is far too much strap once secured at the front. It's a shame because the tank bag is excellent on the gs but I don't like the base plate for the s1000r at all ☹️
