I don’t know what I was expecting exactly but it was something more substantial than a bit of alloy tube that slides over the existing rubber foot lever for £35! Ok, it seems to do its job - it extends the lever out by an inch or so, making it easier to use with your foot angled out a bit. So it’s increased comfort fractionally. £35 worth of comfort? No. I’m sure there’s cheaper available and I’d urge anyone looking at this to consider if it’s worth the price.

I badly broke my left ankle in the spring and found gear changing very difficult on the GS due to my lack of mobility. I actually considered selling the bike because of this. The gear change extender was suggested to me by another 13GS rider I met at a cafe. It has totally changed my riding experience. I can now change gear easily and the auto shifter is smooth and precise. Although a little expensive for what it is, it has saved me having to change my bike.

This came with 3 different screws which need a very small allen key not supplied. For the price I expected it to be included. Easily fitted and works well, helping out when wearing touring boots.
