Having purchased a front mudguard extender I didn’t think I would need any additional engine protection. Unfortunately, after a couple of months I could see that the front of the engine was getting sand blasted with road crud. This plate although smaller than ones for the GS does the job perfectly and is a simple 10 minute job to fit.

Easily fitted along with the new bolts and the sticky pad. Well manufactured and trips with miles will tell if it does its job - protecting the front of the engine from stone chips/gravel rash thrown up by the front wheel. An initial test ride in rubbish weather indicted that it was doing its job.

Very quick delivery from Nippy Norman, well packaged, great service as always. Wunderlich engine plate, well made, and looks good. However, it's very tiny, so not much protection offered.

Looks good and easy to fit but you don't get much metal for your money, seems to stop stones chips but road spray comes up higher than the plate so if you want to stop that hitting the engine a mudguard extender would probably be a better option?

Great little product that was easy to fit. Not a lot of product for the price, but it looks great against the black engine face. Only been used in nice weather so unsure how it will perform on wet British roads yet. So far so good……and a much neater option to the fender extender that has to be bolted to the brake callipers. Usual fast service from NN. Thanks.

Well made engine guard , fits well , and protects the front case from wheel ‘spray’ and stone chipping , one negative bit the washers are too small and will pull through the elongated holes when tightening, you need to source larger ones .

Used for approx. 400 miles. Just removed and then refitted prior to this review to check both the plates and the front of the engine. The plate shows minor scratches and pitting showing that it is doing its job against chipping etc. thrown up by the front tyre. The front of the engine is perfect and unmarked. Easy to fit. Nicely engineered. Highly recommended solution to protecting the front of the engine from all that the roads throw at it.
