Rather than try to follow the included installation instructions I took the headlight assembly off. No more pinched fingers between fasteners and plastic and plenty of space to route the cable along the bike's frame. Not a half hour job, closer to two hours, but most of that was removing and putting back the body parts.
The end result looks great, from the riding position my Zumo XT looks like it belongs on the bike. The GPS is located just right, low enough in my field of view not to be intrusive, but not too low to force me to take my eyes off the road. Consider using some thread lock when fastening the radle to the bracket.

It took a long time to complete because the nuts in the bottom half of the dash bracket move and you cannot see them. Also it is important that this lower bracket is completely central, both front/rear and left/right.
Finally, do not cross-thread the screws for the dash brackets

Whilst the product is of good quality, the instructions and accompanying photos are not precise. The photos are of poor quality and are of little value. I have limited expertise and after hours of head scratching, handed the fitting to a professional.

first class service from NN. first class mount from Wunderlich. very sturdy mount and puts device right into eye line.had to modify mount bracket slightly to fit tomtom anti theft bracket,but hey ho not a big issue. top tip remove screen first!!!!

Build quality was excellent however the alignment for the connecting bracket was a nightmare and the supplied bolts were just too short! Lots of fettling and 3rd party bolts eventually got the job done and it works like a charm. Small refinements from the manufacturer would make a massive difference.

The screws for securing the top and bottom brackets (M20)could do with being a bit longer, and the screws (M16)were not long enough to slip on the bottom bracket over the BMW instrument bracket, with the special washer, other than that all good. Was for a Tomtom 450 rider.

Despite what it says in the instructions, it's definitely easier to remove the screen first. Fairly easy to install and places satnav in good eye-line just above the clocks. Much better than yoke or bar mount. Also provides for neat wiring in as well as wiring hidden behind clock binnacle.

Solid kit, easily fitted, instructions were easy to follow and looks good. Hold the TomTom400 well and in easy line of sight. Only comments are visual - black screws instead of the chrome would have been a classy touch (they do stand out a bit against the black metal) and a cover for the holder part would hide the screws and wiring. Minor detail stuff. Works well - good buy.

The Wunderlich mount is very solid, It holds the Sat Nav perfectly secure and places the Sat Nav in perfect line of sight. Its a little bit off a fiddle fitting the mount but worth the time and effort, I would recommend using the BMW Power plug (GAR-CANBUSZU660) to plug your device directly into the BMW harness as its pretty much directly accessible during the installation.

This is a rock-solid GPS mount. Quality is very good. The mount positions the GPS in the perfect location. The instructions are a bit vague when referring to what bolts to use where (they all looked the same), but it all worked out.

Excellent high quality piece of equipment. Is situated exactly in the right position to allow you to see the road ahead and glance at the GPS without losing your bearings. Fitted easily after a little trial and error. Looks good too.

The kit has very good fitting instructions, it is well designed and fits easily to the bike. I had to make a minor modification to the Sat Nav mounting bracket to allow my Garmin Zumo 660 mount to fit. The mount works well, recently used on touring holiday.

Bought this to mount a satnav for a week long trip though Europe. Brilliant. Easy to fix and does what it says; puts the satnav exactly where you want it so it can be seen with next to no eye movement away from the road. A really practical product that is sturdy, safety conscious and rider friendly.

Great product, very neat, can only see the GPS when fitted and not see the mount. BUT like the other customers - two longer screws needed to clamp it to the backing plate, it took too long to fit due to this problem.

Would recommend this mounting frame, no drilling and is solid with no vibration, the best aspect is it puts the screen just where you need it, you don't really take your eyes off the road. Together with tomtom's winding route has put fun back into my biking.

Excellent bit of kit and positions Sat Nav just above instrument panel more in your line of sight. Easy to fit with good instructions. Make sure you use the right screws as some are longer than others.

I have an '09 bike which appears is a bit of a hybrid. When I first tried to fit the kit I could not get the upper and lower brackets anywhere close to each other. A quick consultation and a few photos to NN and I was sent a kit for a '10+ bike, I used the lower bracket from this kit and the rest of the components from the original kit and it went straight on. Longer bolts might help, taking the screen off definitely helps, it is 6 screws takes 2 minutes gives better access and gets your screen away from tools etc.
Top service from NN sending out the second kit and refunding postage for the kit I sent back. Plus the mount works well / looks great.

Does what it says on the tin......... Easy to fit, just have to pop the mirrors, and the top facia panel, move it forwards to slide the lower brace into position. This will stabilise the mount from vibration....... go careful with the plastic washers....if you drop them into the dash they are not guaranteed to fall out of the bottom ! Mount for the Zumo 660 is easily attached and you can adjust the angle of the mount, for best view.

Good quality product that fits well and holds the sat-nav securely. It looks quite intrusive in the pics but they have been taken specifically to show as clearly as possible how it fits. In practice it doesn't spoil the look of the bike at all.
It took me longer than I expected to fit it (two-and-half hours) but it's a new'ish bike and I was being super-careful not to scratch or damage any of the panels. That time also includes cutting and soldering the various cables I needed (not supplied in this kit!) to make them as neat as possible. As another reviewer said - it would be less fiddly to fit if the replacement bolts were just a little bit longer.
Overall - very satisfied.

I have found this sat nav mount to be of a high quality, and very easy to fit, no screen removal is required.Once in place the mount is very secure without any movement.This mount puts my sat nav exactly where i want it,all in all another excellent purchase from Nippy Normans

The 2 mounting bolts supplied to replace the originals could do with being just a few millimetres longer, this would ease installation. All in all, it does what it says on the tin.
