After using a Bursig bike lift for 5 years on an R1250GS, I found that the Bursig would need either the plastic heel guards removing from the bike each time I needed to use it or to cut holes in the plastics as others have done. Decided to sell the Bursig and get one of these Wunderlich front paddock stands I only need to raise the wheel safely to remove the front wheel at tire change time This item is solid, one piece and great quality. I would have no issues in using it for salty winter storage time in the garage I had looked at other makes, mostly come in 2 pieces and have a selection of adaptors. This has good sized rubber plates for the underneath of the brake bracket Once adjusted to fit, it is easy to lift the bikes front whilst it is on the centrestand and no wobbly moments NN customer service was as usual, excellent. A few weeks for it to come over from Germany, but I am really please with the item
