Reviews of Wunderlich centre stand R NINE T, Pure and /5 model

Impossible to use! Waste of money! Paul on May 02, 2024

This is a solid, durable looking centre stand. Not too difficult to fit (apart from the final stretching of the spring onto the fastener which was neither easy or very safe). The stand is, however, IMPOSSIBLE to use once it's fitted (unless you're a 2 tonne rhino!). The distance from the stand's pivot to the ground is FAR too short for the length of the stand's leg. This means that the angle the stand leg makes with the ground when in contact is FAR too shallow. The result is that it's virtually impossible to get the bike on to the stand, even after jumping up and down or rocking the bike. (even on level ground). Getting the bike down off the stand involves two people rocking the bike until the centre stand eventually collapses and then hoping the bike falls onto the side that has the side stand! I've had centre stands on all my (non-BMW) bikes before this and I've had no trouble before. I've only successfully managed to use this twice since I fitted it four months ago. (I've given up trying to use it many times). I definitely wouldn't have bought this had I known how useless it would be.

The stand seems durable and well constructed. I’d advise anyone trying to fit it to translate the schematic listing the various nuts bolts and spacer into English. This makes a simple to fit. I tried lifting the bike on this stand and found it very heavy. I don’t think the stand has enough leverage. I’ve owned or ridden long term BMW R80RT R100GS R1100/1150RS K100RT K1200GT and have never had any difficulty lifting them onto the Centre stand. The bike can also be tricky to get off the stand too. Whether you rock it whilst stood astride or try to push it forward whilst stood beside it. It has a tendency to slide rather than come off the stand. Had I had the opportunity to try the stand before I purchased it I’d have saved the money and put it towards a decent paddock stand instead.

Very well made looks and feels solid fitting instructions are clear. I fitted it on my own but it probably would have been easier with help at certain points. Very pleased with purchase and nippy normans

Reassuringly expensive and unsurprisingly made to the highest standards. Not the easiest/quickest to fit (took me an hour) but a superb bit of kit. Even the fitting kit fasteners are good quality. And all from the leading supplier!

A much needed centre stand that fits well. Leaving things loose before final assembly helps get it all in line, that apart the instructions are clear and the item quality, well it's German so what else need I say.

I cheated with this stand as I had the dealer fit when I collected my new bike so I can’t comment on the fitting. I’m extremely pleased with the stand, it’s very easy to use, appears to be very well made and looks like it’s a factory fitted item. Recommended.

Well made. Not that easy to follow instructions. Fitted it on my own but two people would make it much easier.
