This piece of kit seems to fit the bill perfectly. Very easy to install, including a positive terminal cover, sits nicely without causing interference anywhere and holds our helmets perfectly. We've yet to use it "in the field" as touring is still not possible but I would happily recommend it to anyone.

Easy to fit cables route round under seat very easy. Helmets fit great when in use. Purchase for when traveling and top box is full. Also nice ride out without top box and panniers.
