Excellent idea and works well. Price of £14 excessive for 3 screws. Easy to install in most cases, but some side-stand feet need adjustment to fit all three screws.

I bought this hoping that it would aid parking on soft surfaces, increasing traction and reducing the chance of the bike falling over. You don’t get much for your £10, just 3 screws and three spike shaped nuts. Firstly, the screws were too short, although they projected beyond the underside of the side stand base, they only did so by a couple of millimetres and I didn’t think that would securely hold the spikes. So I went to a hardware shop and bought some 5mm longer screws. When putting the spikes on, I realised that using locknuts of a similar dimension to the ‘spikes’ would work just as well at a fraction of the cost. I think that Wunderlich should just include the spikes with the sidestand kits rather than as a stand-alone product. I hope that you publish this review even though it’s not entirely positive about the product.

This side stand extender with additional 'studs' to give extra peace of mind in soft ground is fab, simple to fit and great looks.
