I got the Touratech look a like toolbox from E bay but nobody seemed to know that the GS don’t have the framework to mount the toolbox but along comes Touratech with a solution really easy to mount the brackets the hard part was getting your hands inside the toolbox to attach it to the brackets especially the rear ones I’ve still got the scars to prove it

Were no problems with the fitting instructions. Had initially purchased a cheaper 'pattern' mounting kit which was decent enough. But felt a bit flimsy/vibey after fitting. Seen this Cymarc kit on NN. So, now fitted. Definitely more rigid/sturdy design. Still gets a bit of tectonic vibes. But can live with it, so this is my preferred choice.

Bought this to put on my bike so I can use a Toolbox when I don't have the panner racks fitted. Easy to fit, seems very robust and really well made.

The instructions are specific as to which mounting bracket is front and which is the rear one. Ignore that! Use the mounting holes as a guide. My toolbox has been on a GSA over 4 years - the fixings were a pig to get off! On a GS, the toolbox is mounted with the fixings on the right (other side for GSA) - so you will have to reuse your fixings! They do say that attaching the box to the front mounting. They aren’t wrong!
