Well made rack very solid I would have ordered the 40 year seat as well but the deal was not available. Free postage a big bonus for us in n Ireland

Like all Wunderlich parts, this is well-made and rock solid when fitted. There is no “fitting kit”. It simply uses the mounts for the rear seat unit, and therefore locks into place. I was, however, disappointed that it didn’t come with anything to cover the “hole” underneath the rear seat area. I understand the similar thing from Touratech has a plastic cover, which fits berneath the rack and does this. The Wunderlich rack, if anything, increases the likelihood of rain getting in to the electrical connections in that substantial cavity, although this may depend on the shape and coverage provided by the bag you strap to the rack’s numerous lashing options. I have fabricated something from plastic card, which will go some way to rectifying the unusual omission of a cover by Wunderlich themselves.
