Found the Wunderlich high seat to be little more comfortable than the standard high seat that came with the bike. Quite disappointed really.

I didn't even have the stock seat on my S1000XR it was the High comfort version. But was still unbearable in its positioning and comfort leaving me with back ache where the design impacted on the coccyx. This seat is worth every penny, as you don't slide forward and the seat provides support and comfort....... So far, I've not done a full day in the saddle but have high hopes for this seat. Shame on BMW mind for continuing with the most uncomfortable seat in motorcycle history!

If you have the new shape S 1000 XR don't even consider touring on that abomination of a standard seat. I own a 2020 R. I have toured on it doing many 300 mile plus days with a seat about 5mm thick and it's more comfortable than the standard XR seat. I've done 2500 plus so far in Europe with my wife on the back and I can say it's worth every penny, the heat reflection thing it has really does work as well you can feel a huge difference when its left out in the sun. I have used Sargent seats previously on a GS and they were nothing compared to the Wunderlich.

Expensive but top quality .The material on seat is well padded and more stable while riding.
