I bought this harness as my smartphone, mounted on a wireless charger and used for nav, was not receiving enough power from the DIN socket / USB adaptor. Aslo, using the second USB port on the DIN-USB adaptor made things worse. Wireless chargers will not function when connected directly to the auxiliary socket inside the fairing, and need a CAN-BUS adapter. This harness worked well and powered the wireless charger, freeing up the DIN socket for other use.

Extremely high quality and very simple to fit with only basic tools required for the process. I’ve removed the factory fitted navigation cradle as I prefer to use Google Maps for navigation purposes and this harness has enabled me to fit a quad lock system that can charge my phone whilst I’m riding without splicing or cutting into my bikes electrics

Very easy to fit, YouTube guide available, so someone has already worked out best position etc. It took 10 mins tops to install and test. Very easy option directly into the original harness.

This USB cable was a piece of cake to fit, I've fitted cables to bikes before and nothing has ever been this simple. Plug it in the socket, route the cable. Panels back on. Job done! Highly recommended 5*

Going into Europe later this year and wanted to have an old iPhone mounted to the bars on a Quadlock mount for visual cues. I'm the least mechanically minded person and was looking for an easy way to keep the phonee on charge. N/S fairings removed, which was all of about 5 screws, and found 2 likely connectors for this to fit in. One worked, one didn't, and I gather that's meant to be correct.
The unit itself comes with plenty of cable (possibly too much for an S1KR, but that's fine, looped it round and zip tied to itself it was tidy enough to be hidden.
Tested yesterday and works exactly as it should, including being switched via the ignition key. Perfect solution to my needs, and very simple to fit. Would recommend.

Great product. On my bike a RT1200LC 2014 model the BMW plug is behind instrument panel on the clutch side need to take windscreen and top panel off to gain access. Plug and play. Plenty of room to velcro box to the back of the instrument panel. Power is switched goes off after about 60 seconds. Running Scenic 3 app on iPhone 12 with screen on full brightness, the unit charges phone to 100%. A neat solution at a very reasonable cost. Excellent service too.

Took me a while to find the socket on the loom to connect it to. I eventually had to take the battery out to be able to get to the socket as the cable it was attached to was folded over and pointing at the ground! Once this was done it was relatively easy to attach the unit and thread the USB power cable through and attach it to the handle bar.

This harness worked perfectly on my S1000RR. The harness was a little long for where I needed it to reach but a few zip ties got everything tucked away nice and clean. The materials used to make this harness are like OEM and I expect it will last the length of ownership.

I used this to replace the Nav VI Mount. I found the Nav VI in general an expensive, useless bit of kit so decided to use my phone instead. I used this to hook up a Quad Lock wireless charger and it looks really clean with no need to plug a cable into my phone every time I want to mount it. My only recommendation is to build some option of length into the cable. I had to tuck away a lot of cabling (basically the whole thing into one small nook)

Works perfect I should’ve bought this two years ago when I bought the bike and after running out of charge on my phone lodes of times on ride outs. The connector you need is on the left hand side and it’s the one towards the middle of the bike(it will only fit onto that one. Excellent product very happy with it and NippyNormand service is brilliant.

Used to connect my Quadlock Wireless charging mount to the accessory socket next to the battery. Easy fitting, just take the weatherproof cap off the existing socket and plug this in. The charging unit is now switched on and off with the bike so no battery drain.

This is really easy to fit as it just plugs in under the left hand side panel. There is a lot of excess cable to hide as it is a universal item and the distance on my bike means I need only a small lead.

What a great idea. Giving you a power supply from the canbus socket underneath the headlight instead of connecting to your battery or Din socket with cables trailing everywhere.

On every bike I've owned I've always installed a usb power outlet as I like to use my phone for sat nav and music while riding. This is the first BMW I've owned and came across the Nippy Norman harness on an s1000r forum. What a great product. Its well made, just plug and play and works as it should. So glad I found this product it saved me alot of time and hassle pulling apart another bike and routing endless amounts of cable from one end of the bike to the other. Definitely a product I'd recommend.

The harness has been mounted on a S1000RR 2015, on the left side near the frame there are 2 outlets of which one has ignition power switched on. The harness works wonderful, and is quite fast. It switches itself off when you turn the ignition off.
10/10, would recommend.

Good quality bit of kit. Instructions clear. If you are not using the aux power plug for something like a sat nav this fits straight in. A couple of zip ties and it's fitted! I was doing some other work so took off the dash panel for a neater fit for the cables.

Fitted this to the bike yesterday and greatly valued previous reviewers comments making the task far easier as the instructions on their own aren't as fullsome as they could be.
Use a torch to locate the socket taped to the main (red) lead on the right side of the battery, be careful cutting releasing the tape holding it in place. You could make the job easir by removing the righthand side fairing but I don't think it's necessary.

The Poweroo unit is well made with the ability to change the legs to a different USB fittings if required, (purchased seperately).I connected this to a Fuse block as my I did not want to connect it to directly to the battery and the plug described in the fitting instructions was not vacant due to the Sat Nav. mounted.

Easy to fit once you fish the GPS cable out of the right side of the battery, where it's very securely attached. A normal USB socket allows maximum versatility in what you can power with it. Only issue is where to store the rather lengthy cable when not using it.

This connector set is very easy to fit... once you have located where to plug it in. The socket on BMW F800GT is taped to the battery plus main cable on the right side of the battery. Clip the fancy tape and connect. 5 minutes, including lifting the battery access cover. BUT, hours to find this info on the web. Hope it helps
