The handlebars on the R1300RS (like the 1300RT) are not tubular but a frame attached to the top of the forks which makes it difficult to use (eg) RAM mounts for accessories. This item provides a solution. However. It is not easy to fit. The Torx bolts mounting the grips/controls are not easy to remove. They are tight (due to threadlock used when assembled?). The replacement bolt is a hexagon head which is buried in the new fitting and difficult to reach without an extended hexagon socket (and a socket is needed to get the correct torque). If Wunderlich included a length of 8mm hexagon bar it would help. Otherwise a good solution which looks neat. Recommended with reservations.
