I fitted these engine bars having watched a video on doing it on you tube. The fitting was quite straight forward and the bars themselves are very strong and good quality. The delivery process was very easy and quick. They even came in useful cloth bags that will be useful for other things. Really pleased with the whole process from ordering to fitting.

I purchased these after having tried HEED bars which ran far too close to coolant hoses on the 2023 bike. These fit well and coupled with the BMW pannier protection rubbers give me confidence that damage will be superficial if I do drop the bike at low speeds. The only negative comment I have is that they come with a really nice Wunderlich badge but it’s only on one side, a bit odd?

I really wanted something to protect my cylinder head's, this is the first boxer engine I've ridden, and although I know it's unlikely I wanted to protect my new bike. These bars just fit, I know that's what is supposed to happen, but often there is always a bit of manipulation that needs to happen before you can use these things. Not so, they just worked, all the bits you need, comprehensive instructions, one happy biker.

Great service, bars fitted easily but the left hand spot light cable was to short, so had to cut the cable tie that was fixing it to the frame so it would reach.

Received product promptly and individually wrapped being very well protected in the box. Very pleased with quality and black finish. They came with full instructions bolts and lubricants required. I had to remove the fairing and required a torque wrench for fitting. Everything lined up perfectly and very pleased with the final result. The black finish looks good on my blue bike.

As these will be fitted by Lind in Norwich on 29th July I can not make any comment. The bars were delivered & received in a good condition. I hope that the 'blackness' does not rub off.

Excellent as can be expected from Wunderlich and easy to fit. Only problem is refitting the BMW spots, they were much lower and only way I could get them to a similar level as originally fitted was to mount them upside down. Nippy Norman's did send me a diagram to say they needed to be swapped round, but I perhaps am thick as could not make sense of that.

Good advice given to me is only do one side at a time as you have to undo the engine/frame bolts. Do both together and the engine can shift. Getting the bolts back in will be a pain. Torque loading figures would also help rather than generic figures for bolt sizes. Do they work? Ask my dealer he dropped the bike during servicing no damage to the engine not so the surrounding panels.

Bought the black engine bars they were easy to fit and well finished but they were not perfect I was unable to attach the right hand lower faring without it contacting the engine bar and this stresses the faring mount points. NN SAYS Never had this issue before - has your bike ever been dropped as there may be a slight bend in the frame - happy to send you another set if you wish to try?

Well made and relatively easy for a simpleton like me to fit. They're well designed to make them as unobtrusive as possible so don't look too ugly.

Look great and hopefully they do the job. Easy enough to fit though instructions aren't the best , better instructions on YouTube. Expensive compared to others but I liked this look better. Great service as usual from NN.

Great product fits perfectly and looks great, however the fitting instructions do not tell you what panels to remove before fitting. a better set of fitting instructions would be good, thank god for you tube.

I chose these as they fit with the original equipment spot lamps. They are easy to fit (four bolts each side) they even come with thread lock and grease as required. You might need to research how to remove the fairing panels but that’s easy to find on YouTube!

Excellent-looking bars. Hope I don't need them... Chris Matthews on Aug 21, 2020

These are great looking engine bars; not in the least obtrusive, they look as if they were designed for the bike by BMW. I'm not "handy" so my local dealer fitted them for me, in about 30 minutes. Having dropped a previous bike whilst manually handling it, this seems such like such a sensible addition to the bike.

Took a while to figure out what to dismantle to be able to fit the bars but there is a very good You Tube video from Ilium Works which gives you step by step instructions on how to dismantle the panels which give you access to the fitting brackets. Pay particular attention to the dismantling of the fairing panels as they are delicate to dismantle. Once you fit one crash bar the other one is a breeze. The end product is pretty good, although I prefer not to test it.

Good quality, strong and easy to fit Jim O'Brien on Mar 09, 2019

These bars are realtively easy to fit. I found it easier to remove the plastic fairing panels although this is a tedious job in itself. The accompanying instructions are minimal but it is realtively easy to work it out, but if you have the BMW factory fitted fog lights things get a little more complicated. The instructions make no mention of the fog lights. To fit the bars requires the factory fog light brackets to unmounted from the original position and remounting them on the brackets that are built into the engine bars which have and additional mounting hole. I found out that you can fit the left hand bar and keep the fog lamp in its original position but you can't do it on he right hand bar. Hence the need to remount both to the integral mounts on the engine bars. This moves the lights a little further forward and also lower to the ground but by turning the lights upside down to sit on top of the fog lamp bracket instead of them hanging below. This works quite well and leaves them fairly close to the original height although about 1 and half inches further forward
