Reviews of TeqMount Wonderwheel adaptor for XT2,Tread2 and XT3 (with adaptor for ZumoLock)

Great Solution (at a price) Kevin on Apr 11, 2026

Not a cheap option, but if you have a Garmin or other compatible sat nav that needs to be fitted to the BMW Navigator mount I can’t think of a better one. The adapter fits the modern navigation prep mount on the R1300RS perfectly, and has a low profile so doesn’t add too much bulk. The synchronisation with the BMW Wonder Wheel also worked without a hitch.

Having moved to a Garmin XT2 for navigation, this adapter will save you the hassle of replacing the BMW cradle for a Garmin one and the, albeit minor, hassle of wiring in a Garmin power lead and multi-button controller. Although the XT2 sits a little forward you quickly get used to it. And when your PCP comes to an end there’s no having to reinstate the original BMW cradle and wiring for when the bike goes back.

Adapter works perfectly, and the wonderwheel can be programmed to duplicate the signal from the handlebar control. Best adapter ever.

Wonderwheel comms with Zumo XT2 Martin Ford on Mar 11, 2026

Seamlessly controls my new Zumo XT2 from the wonderwheel after my aged and much travvelled NavV gave up the ghost. Rotation controls zoom and short and long presses to and away from the bar can be programmed for some Zumo functions A good bit of kit. Unless you always take your Zumo off the bike at cafe stops etc., I think the lock is essential, but expensive for a simple piece of plastic. I have a 1250GSA and 850GS. If you have two locks you will only need one Teqmount unit as they can easily switch between bike....unless you are riding god on both at the same time!!

Garmin Zumos are much better & more reliable than Nav VIs. BUT, no wonder wheel control. This unit fixes the issue. The GPS feels very secure in the. mount. The bike acts like it has a NAV VI attached.
