The battery is a straight swap for the original. The most difficult part was getting the plastic cover off in order to remove the battery.

The battery arrived promptly. On receipt, having watched a couple of You Tube videos, I found it simple to remove the old battery and replace it with this one. The new battery was a direct placement and fitted correcntly. No problems and recommended.

An unfortunate consequence of owning a liquid cooled RT is that you will regularly be replacing batteries. In my experience, both my 1250 and the 1200 before it required battery replacement every 2 or 3 years, despite always being plugged in to Optimate 4 via the Canbus.
Exide make the OEM battery for BMW, and this appears to be exactly the same one without the badge. Same performance & life at a lower price.
