Having watched many a weekend mechanic maul up &/or struggle to replace the stretch fit alternator belt upon certain BMW boxer engines & with my pride & joys coming up to 6yrs & even though I think I could have used the strip of plastic trick to guide the old belt off & the new belt on, I wasn't prepared to struggle & even though this tool is very expensive for what it is/does, it literally took four turns of the engine with the spark plugs out (as I was replacing them anyway) to put the new belt on with no damage becoming to my bike, paintwork, fingers & or stress levels. Just a shame I don't need to use it for a further 6yrs...
