After reading lots of reviews and options of bmw expensive replacement or swapping to a float, I opted for the replacement here at Nippy Normans .part arrived in a bubble wrap bag (not a tin as most others but looks ok). Installation went easier than some YouTube videos and once diagnostics tool connected and then calibrating I admit my diagnostics tool showed lots of German options and have no idea what to set it too. 37 litres adv is what I went with along with something in German . Screen flashed on dashboard and showed some fuel almost a full tank yet only 5 litres in it. Went and filled up and then a short ride and the tank is now showing full . So far so good. I have ridden 140 miles and it now showing almost empty so will probably need to re check the ecu settings but so far so good . Although the fuel level does seem to take a little while to update so I may have to ride about a bit before it updates again especially after bike is on side stand.. either way it’s a simple replacement (some soldering and heat shrink required - not included) overall fast delivery from Nippy Norman and happy with results so far.

Purchased the after market fuel strip rather than paying the extortionate BMW price. Very easy to fit and can be even calibrated out of the tank. Used motoscan Diagnostic tool . Great product and even better service from Nippynormans. Highly recommend them and will certainly do business with them in the future if needed. Delivery very fast .

Arrived well protected on a tin. Had it fitted at Mark Holden Motorcyles. Now have a working fuel gauge. No more range anxiety. Not the cheapest of fixes, utilising worth it for the peace of mind.
