Typical Wunderlich level of quality. Fitted easily. Makes the scaffolding of the GSA look a lot neater. Whether or not they work is impossible to say at the bike is grounded due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

These fill a surprisingly large gap between the pannier boxes and the bike frame on a GSA. As so often is the case, you wonder why BMW didn't do something about this themselves. I bought the black versions, which are made of reassuringly thick, well produced plastic. They were not marked left and right. In fact, the serial number on the label on the one that goes on the right ended in L and for the one on the left, it ended in R, so don't be misled. The instructions for applying the double-sided tape and the transparent "paintwork protector" film were quite vague, and the protection film didn't stick properly to the pannier rails anyway. The screw on each panel takes a T30 star and a 10mm spanner for the nut. Unusual for Wunderlich not to say so. When in place, the plastic sits right where the pannier boxes slide along the top of the frame tube. Correctly fitted, the edge of the plastic guards tucks just under the box, which is neat and secure, but it makes the boxes fractionally tighter to fit and to lock in place. a bit of a wiggle about solves this.
