Engine Protection Bars for BMW R 1250 RT

Wunderlich Engine Bars keep the BMW R1250 RT’s engine casings, cylinder heads and valve covers protected during static and low speed falls - all too easy on a fully loaded tourer like the RT - without adding excess width or weight.

Made from robust 25mm steel tubing - a diameter specifically chosen to give maximum strength for minimum weight - Wunderlich’s Engine Protection Bars attach to the RT via six existing points on the frame, to spread impact evenly and absorb kinetic energy without damaging other components.

Precision-shaped on CNC bending machines, they offer complete protection to the valve cover (even in serious spills), and feature a protective base frame that protects the sump and oil filter.

They are, of course, designed to follow the contours of the RT’s Boxer engine closely, so they won't compromise ground clearance or cornering ability, and allow full access for maintenance and servicing.

The bars can be fitted in conjunction with Wunderlich's Cylinder Head Guards and also act as a mounting point for Wunderlich Spotlights. They are part of a wide range of accessories produced for the new RT by the German firm.

Wunderlich Engine Bars fit all 2019-on R1250 RT models and come in a choice of Black, Chrome or Silver finishes.
