great product, not sure about the slots. Instructions are difficult to decipher due to the 3D nature of the product and location. Also does not tell you what to do about the flap. Does sort out the muck.

I purchased a generic hugger for a quarter of the price prior to buying the Wunderlich hugger. The former wasn't bad but it just wasn't right. The Wunderlich hugger was excellent though and fitted well. I wasn't too sure about the three slots to the front of the hugger but they don't seem to be a problem. The existing mud flap is retained and covered the slots a little so this helped. All in all a good buy. Recommended.

This hugger is of the higher quality you expect from Wunderlich and retained the chain guard and crap flap which some seem to indicate needs removing. The Wunderlich instructions are not 100% clear as they don't tell you to remove the bolt holding the chain rubber on LHS. If you look closely it's clear in one of the pictures in those instructions so it is worth looking closely. Again, the original shock protection is also visible on the last image of the instructions which I know some people seem to think must me removed - you can retain it. I may trim mine a Iittle as I think there's a little too much of a fold but after a few hundred miles, it's still all good.

Nice fitting and manufactered However, they have decided to put noise reducting slots in, which means the mud off the road comes out over the shock area. Bad idea. Covered with duct tape. Now works how a hugger should. I would give 5 star if they were not there.

Quality product (had to replace Powerbronze inferior version which cracked). Support bracket across fixtures ensures no damage. Side flanges help keep exhaust cleaner.
