Reviews of Denali Wiring Adapter - Sound Bomb to Hex ezCAN

Purchased this cable to connect Gen 2 Hex Ezcan to my Denali Sound Bomb. Had to cut off the Gen 1, 2 pin plug and solder on a gen 2, 3 pin plug(don't need the yellow data wire). Had spoken to Denali and Hex regarding this cable to be used with the SB this way and they said it was fine. Works a treat, now and I can set a delay into the hex ezcan to allow the oem horn(mini sound bomb in my case) to give a quick "honk" before the compressor fires up with all 120 decibels of truck horn. You just have to use a 3 pin female connector which NN sell, or use a spare one in your hex ezcan box. Thumbs up from me .

The cable I received was different to the one in the photo I did discuss concerns with NN at the time but decided I would try to fit it and report back. This cable had the bmw connectors for the horn fitted which you need if connecting to the HEX EZ canbus. I did eventually wire this into the HEX EZ can bus system and advised NN that it was fitted but it was on the short side for a RT. I wasn't comfortable leaving it on the bike long term with the cable being at full stretch . The Hex EZ tend to sit further back on the RT under the rear seat and I think it would be ok for the GS but needed to be a bit longer for my bike. Ive taken this off now and discarded it and made up my own cable about 10 inches longer which is sufficient to reroute the cable exactly where I want it to go.I may just have have had a bad experience and Im sure NN would have refunded the cost had I followed this up as Ive always found them to be very helpful.
