Be aware if you've got the Denali Light Mount Bracket For R1250 Adventure 2019 on. The upside down nuts used to align and prevent spinning of the lower mounting brackets. Will not lock up and will remain lose. The shoulders on the spacers in the Denali kit prevent the shoulder on the inverted nuts from locking against the casting. I removed the nuts and just used the washers in the kit.
Wunderlich have missed a trick here, I'd also add their instructions are as usual poor. All that said its a nice product.

I looked at various cheaper options but decided to by the Wunderlich head light guard and have not been disappointed, its a quality product and functions well it folds down easily for cleaning and fits perfectly.
I must mention it is quite fiddly to fit but it's worth the effort 👌 it was delivered quickly and well packaged .

Arrived in good time, packaged well. The parts supplied did not agree with the bike or the diagrams. NN replaced the parts quickly, but these were also incorrect, but slightly better. I used the OEM top screws after drilling out the top securing brackets to allow for the OEM 'shoulder'. You MUST remove all the panels to do this job. Despite the above, a great finished item.

This headlight protector was fairly easy to fit. You do need to remove some body panels to enable fitting. Could certainly save the expense of replacing a cracked LED headlight. The screws which hold the clear plastic shield to its frame could ideally be at least 1mm longer to make fitting easier, but they do fit with perseverance.

Decent quality materials used. A little bit fiddly to fit and the instructions are not very clearly printed. The screws that hold the Perspex cover on could be supplied a little bit longer. I installed the item with the brackets slightly loose, clipped the cover on and then tightened everything up. Looks good and works a treat.

Item promptly dispatched and delivered by Nippy Norman's. The Wunderlich headlight protector is top quality; and compliments the quality of my 1250GS. I did consider lower cost headlight protectors; but why fit a cheap item to such a great bike.
The fitting instructions supplied are not great, but the NN website has a great video detailing how to install the protector. All in, it took me less than 2 hours and I'm delighted with the results.

This product is a nightmare to fit and requires alot of flexing of the GS beak fairing. Why does it come as a box of bits as opposed to being already assembled? The instructions are rubbish. I could not get it to fit on my model with the OEM spotlights with the protector fully built up. I ended up stripping it down again and installing the 2 off bottom brackets and then built it up on the bike. No way could i get the fully build assy in place. Top tip, cover your plastic fairing with masking tape. Once its fitted, its a quality piece if kit but it should not take so long to fit and having to work out for yourself how to make it fit.

The headlight grill is of good good quality as I have come to expect from Wunderlich. Well worth spending a bit extra on this headlight grill compared to some of the other types on the market. Nippy Normans service was excellent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the fitting instructions weren’t exactly the easiest to interpret. Improve on this and I will give this product 5 star rating.

Lower mounting points require a fair amount of body work and upper crash bar removal to get to the holes to mount to! Work I have no issue with, but a lot would get stuck on this! Instructions a bit lacking for those with less technical know-how. Otherwise good protection and even better that it flips down. Hope the rubbers last.

This headlight guard is excellent quality and looks the business.
I agree with other reviews about the installation instructions being confusing, so I just used the diagram with no problems whatsoever.
Same advice as other reviewers; fit all the components loosely before finally tightening, which gives you enough play to fit the guard itself without needing three pairs of hands.

Wanted this product as the thought of damaging / replacing OEM light was scary. Wunderlich instructions not that clear and photos a bit random, although not much to figure out really. Top tip would be to secure upper bracket locking nut, to bracket with tape, before pressing it into place.
Once fitted looks good and appears to be quality addition to bike.

I concur with most of the other posts and have a tip for something that I found puzzling for a while. Attach all of the rubber covered nuts to the grill frame and only give the screws 1-2 turns initially. Then slide on the plastic screenscreen and tighten the screws fully, this will expand the rubber and hold the screen tight.

Well made/finished part but screws to mount rubber grommets for screen are too small. NN agreed to feed this back to manufacturer. All fixings appeared (according to my magnet) to be S/S coated in black. At £109 expensive but much cheaper than a new light unit + it looks OEM.

Excellent product I've used it on all three GS' I've owned. Really fiddly to fix you need a third pair of hands, but when it's in place easy to swing away from the main headlight to clean.

I had read the previous reviews for this product so was ready for battle.
On receiving the package I examined the contents, read the instructions (must Google ‘instructions’) read the reviews again and then my brain started to hurt. Day two I repeated the process and made myself persevere until the job was done.
Simple things like screwing the lens to the frame. At first the screws don’t appear to reach the thread. That’s because the instructions don’t say ‘Push hard and compress the rubber neck’.
I have the additional lamps on my GS so was able to utilise the existing mounting bolts. However this still required the arms of an chimpanzee to reach underneath as well as hold the bolt on top. My tip for this is to wedge the top bolt of the lower bracket so you can concentrate on the underside of the bike.
That to be honest was the hardest part to get round.
Excellent product once installed but they really nee£ to sort out the instructions.

The item itself if well made and works a treat, but let down by very poor fixings. DO NOT use the stiff-nuts supplied to attach the special studs. The threads on the nuts are deformed way too much. I sheared one of the studs trying to fit it. Use a nylock or even better, threadlock on a plain nut.

very well made and looks good to.. not cheap.. but well cheaper than a new led headlight. easy to fit but you will find there is not enough room to mount the brackets so need to loosen the 2 rear bolts holding the beak on to give you enough play to slide the bracket and nut into the recess.. took 20 mins to fit.. excellent product.

If your bike has the OEM LED auxiliary lights & light bar as mine has, then you will need 2x M8x25 (12mm longer)stainless or BZP cap screws to attach the bottom mounting brackets. Also, my advice is not to use the trilock nuts supplied for attaching the top pins either, as the torque required caused one thread to shear off. Use a standard M5 nut & some threadlock instead to save yourself a lot of grief. It does look good when fitted though but took ages to fit. Gets four stars for the actual part, but only one star for the fitting kit & the rather poor installation pictures.

Speedy delivery by NNs, purchased to protect a very expensive light assembly, packaged well, instructions, pictures, are comprehensive but fitting was not straightforward, you can't undo some of the fittings after putting them together, when it's fitted it does what it's supposed to giving protection, flips down for cleaning and if there are any future MOT issues re covers?
