I had these on my previous BMW r1250gs Rallye for 3 years and found they gave a much improved grip circumference and were very comfortable too. Unlike the sponge variants they do not hold water which is great for all-weather riding. The fit never altered once in 3 years and they showed no signs of wear.

My second set of these on a second bike. Really good product for bulking up standard skinny grips as seem to be prevalent on modern bikes. These buddies increase the diameter and save fatigue if you have big hands gripping small grips.

Difficult to judge right now, as I’ve not ridden the bike since I put them on the bike. Had to cut them along the edge to fit the BMW grips. Will be interesting to see if they stay in place as there is only one part on the grips that is “sticky” and that’s it. I’m also hoping I can still get a nice heat transference through them when I use the heated grips.

I bought these as a cheaper option than replacing my OEM grips. I thought covering a worn grip with them would work and happily it does . They do seem thick on the first couple of rides but you get use to that .The heated grips can be felt but I had to turn mine up to max heat which Ive never done before. I also had to click my levers back so my short fingers could reach them, but thats why they are adjustable ! I have arthritis in my thumb and maybe no better but not worse through these grips. I do have a tiny fray appearing ( could be loose thread at the end of the line) but if it gets no worse than it won't be an issue.

The grips are great and feel comfortable on your hands. The vibration which is not bad is not really reduced but you tend to grip the handlebars less tightly so this helps reduce the transfer to your hands.

Easy to fit but follow the instructions to make sure the seam is in the right place. They make the bars thicker and more comfortable for larger hands - you may need to adjust the levers after fitting. No noticeable effect on the heated bars as far as I can tell.

These grips make a big differance to the vibration and make the handlebars more comfortable in my hans as I find the standard grips too thin. Allow plenty of heat through from the grips. They are fiddly to fit and get right first time but can be re adjusted.

These are easy to fit and do prevent much of the vibration. I think people with smaller hands may struggle with them. The left side grip moved inward over time due to clutch operation I think. They are expensive for what they are but I’ve just ordered some more as I think the benefits justifies the cost. Would highly recommend

I suffer with arthritis in both my hands. The small handgrips on my bike mean I need to grip my hand grips in a way that makes for a painful day in the saddle. Grip buddies are amazing. They increase the size of the grips to a point were my grip is much more relaxed and the comfort levels are so much better. And my heated grips work as well. So simple, good job.

Grips took a bit of getting used to as i only have small hands (size 7 .5 gloves).
The grips don't make any difference to vibrations from my XR.
I've decided for now to keep the grips on the bike as on a long trip my hands weren't as closed as without the grips and so better for reducing muscle fatigue.
I bouht them thinking they would reduce vibration on the XR but as they don't I wouldn't recommend them for that bike.

Having tried other handlebar grip covers, these are assuredly the very best, proving that you (mostly!) get what you pay for!
Easy to fit, stay in place and allow sufficient heat to flow from within, they can't be faulted. Really now, I couldn't go back to "naked' grips, as these are so very comfy!!

I had to remove them for safety reasons.

I purchased these for the K1600 which after my 1400GTR has small diameter grips. The fit is OK; its a bit trial and error to get a perfect joint that I still have't. Certainly I'm happy with the increased diameter as this reduces the response time on the fly by wire throttle. I've yet to use them on the open road as its a lock down at present .I would give five star except I feel this is an overpriced product.

Are they better than Grip puppies? The price makes you think so. The jury is still out for me. Having said that they are very comfortable. I'm not a massive fan of the seam, although you can't feel it, you can see it. Another plus point over the puppies is they don't absorb water which is good. These Grip Buddies slid out of the packet,and after a 2 minute read of the instructions,were in place on around the stock grips.They increase the diameter of the stock grips,but they seem to feel better for it.The absorption of vibration is dramatically reduced and in my opinion gives more relaxed all round riding experience.Dead fingers no more !.

Very comfortable to use, reduces vibration considerably and increases diameter slightly thus giving a more solid grip.
The only negative is that one has to wrap the fabric round the bar to join to a Velcro strip that in turn creates a seam. Having made a number of attempts to make a neat joint it still feels somewhat uneven. Admittedly the manufacturers advise to position the joint on the bars where ones fingers do not come into contact but still can’t create a smooth seam.
Would I buy them again? Given the comfort of the grip..definitely

These work well (in that they reduced the vibrations, which is why I bought them) and were straightforward to install.
Their design (wrap-around) does mean they leave a visible seam and I would have preferred a single piece of tube that I rolled onto the grips.
Ultimately however they make the grip a little too large for my liking (coupled with the fact that my glove seems to catch them/stick to them momentarily when trying to come off the throttle) so I may remove them from the bike soon.

I was finding the gs a bit buzzy through the bars at motorway speeds so thought these might help.
I find them a little to thick and the seam that’s created when fitted I can feel which is a bit annoying.
Can’t say they have really helped with the vibration or comfort and thought they were quite expensive for what they are

Perfect fit for the GS grips. I suffer with vibration that aggravates my hand and shoulder. These grips haven't entirely eliminated it but I'd say its an 80% reduction plus, the fatter 'grip' in your hand means you don't have to grip the bars as tightly which is no doubt a big contributing factor to their benefit. I have not yet used the self-adhesive strip as I wanted to ride it several times before deciding where to attach them permanently. So far I have found that, whilst the grips eventually rotate around a little, they don't seem to need to be permanently attached to be able to ride and feel the benefit. I may never stick them on as it means that you can take them off and switch them to another bike with ease. Good product - would buy again.

The jury is out on these at the moment!
They were easy to fit and they certainly reduce or eliminate the small amount of vibration that I barely noticed anyway!
But they increase the circumference of the grips and I haven’t quite got used to that yet, still calibrating it, if you like.
They are comfortable and the heat gets through them even when wet and they are not like holding wet sponges when it’s raining.
I’ll get used to the fatter grips soon, I hope

Great idea if not slightly flawed - due to having to roll the cushion over the existing grip you depend on the coming together of the Velcro - after a couple of tries got a satisfactory result apart from the slight ridge where the join is - to ensure they stayed put I secured each with some 30 amp fuse wire twisted tight - now have a fantastic result - the feel is greatly improved and had no dead hands.

This is the third pair of grip buddies I have purchased. Good bit of kit. Easy to remove/install. They provide good insulation to vibration through the bars, without loosing "feel". Totally weather proof. They last about a year before becoming frayed (depending on use). Heated grips are still effective. They do obviously make the grip diameter larger but for me that is a plus

Fitted these for a recent NC500 run. Easy to fit needing only slight trimming for the Crosstourer. Excellent in terms of filling the hand more than the too small standard grips. Also the soft feel is comfortable too. Heated grips still work ok but they do insulate the grip a little transmitting less heat to the glove. I would recommend particularly if you have large hands.

Had previous foam covers which were OK, but seemed to stifle the heated grips somewhat.

I bought these mainly because I found the stock grips on the GS to be a little too slim for my hands, and because the stock grips were getting 'sticky' like they do! Grip buddies have made things much more comfortable. They fit my hands better and I now have better (more subtle) throttle control. Vibration has been reduced so I suffer less numbness as a result. They were easy to fit and adjust. The only negative for me is that they do reduce the effectiveness of the heated grips. I used to use the grips on setting one most of the time, only going to setting 2 in the coldest conditions. With Grip Buddies fitted setting 1 has become redundant and in the recent cold weather (around 1c to 2c) setting 2 wasn't really doing the job. On a recent full day out riding in the cold I came close to taking the Grip Buddies off to get some heat in my hands!

Reasonably easy to fit and good clear instructions. Just a bit of a faff to line up the joint and get a smooth joint. Comfortable in use and does reduce the vibration through the grips. Just need something for the brake lever now.

Have found vibration quite severe on the new R1200RS. The grip buddies have helped to damp these and also to soften the 'death grip' on the throttle which makes you feel the vibes much more. I also like the feel of the grips cf the originals.

Bought my first pair 18 months ago and noticed the palm area on them was smoothing off. After carefully removing them I realised they can be reapplied the other way round to allow the "fresh" area to be the new palm zone. They are fine so have kept the second pair to use in the future. Doubled the life I hope.

Ok, so I was a bit unsure, lot of money for what it actually is. I never suffered badly with white finger or tingles in my hands, but why should I? Really glad I fitted the buddies. Not tried them yet with heated grips. These will stay on my bike, they take the edge off the bike grips and I have to say it is better for having them.

I have had these on for a few weeks now probably 2000 miles.
Out of the bag they took just a few minutes to fit, very easy.
They are thicker than the original grips so took a little getting use to.
However I believe they have considerably reduced that annoying vib through the bars and think they have been a good purchase.

My last review was wrong, I said they split. That should have been for the grip puppies which did split. The grip buddies have not been on long enough for full assessment nor have I tried the heated grip system yet, dont need heated grips in Kenya! hence the 4 stars. So far though they are fantastic. Easy to fit and very comfortable, they make a big difference to the feel of the handlebar grips making them much more comfortable on long trips. I like them a lot!

Do the job in terms of isolating the vibration and improving comfort. Haven't tried them with the heated grips on yet but they feel warmer anyway. They were easy to fit by the final fit is not perfect hence 3 stars and they do seem a little expensive for a couple of bits of neoprene and some velcro.

Fitted well and do work with the heated grips although naturally take longer to heat up.
Only issue is that I have Wunderlich cruise control fitted, which is a mechanical clamp system to stop the throttle snapping back, and this has tightened up with the Grip Buddies although they are not in contact with the mechanism. Not sure whether a problem that has developed with the unit or caused by the Grip Buddies.

These grip buddies have done exactly what I wanted, increased the diameter of the grips, provided some cushioning from vibration and allowed warmth from the heated grips to come through. They were easy to fit and I have no reason to suggest they won't last a long time. The only negative is the price and I'd suggest that if there was a decent competitor for this product, they would be reduced significantly in price.

Put these on my last bike and they were an "essential" extra this time around. Very easy to fit and extremely comfortable - so long as you position the seam in the right place. Heated grips are unaffected and the whole feel of the bike is improved, particularly if you ride gloveless or with thin gloves. Last ones are still as new after 20K+ miles. Everything in NN's description is perfectly true!

The wires running through the heated grips I had fitted, were, I believe, transmitting high frequency engine vibrations to my hands. This caused my fingers to numb after about 20 minutes riding. This was uncomfortable and raised a safety issue as I couldn't feel the clutch/brake levers properly. This problem was solved by the Grip Buddies I purchased. They took minutes to fit, completely isolated me from the vibes and were very comfortable. The extra circumference they created were great for my large hands as my fingers were not as cramped. My only gripe would be the price. At nearly £30, incl P&P, that's a lot for two strips of Neoprene with two strips of Velcro sewn on. However, thirty quid to give me back a much more comfortable and safer ride is money well invested. Highly recommended.

I have had a big problem with tingling and numbness in the throttle hand on previous bikes. Had grip buddies bought as an Xmas present and first time out rode for more than an hour before any cramp even started. I am well impressed with the ease of fitting and positive result. I would say an 80-90% improvement on the oe grips on my V Strom. Improved low speed throttle control as an added bonus. Highly recommended.

The grips are great, easy to fit and very effective. The one drawback I found was that the left one crept round the grip in wet, though after a week or so it has settled, just not in the ideal position. A slightly thinner version might be great for people with not so big hands, but all in all a great product - much less hand fatigue. I'd recommend it.

K Reduces vibration symptoms but regrettably not completely. Grips soften the weight on the hands from the relatively small diameter BMW grips. A downside is that the thickness of the grips leave the fingers of my small handsmy a bit short of the levers. This was overcome by judicious reposioning of the levers. All in all they were not perfect and do help a little on numb fingers

Bought some of these from US 2+ years ago for my K1600. simple product but invaluable to me, very comfortable and long lasting they do the job very well. Have just ordered another pair for my newly acquired GS through Nippy Normans
