This part is cut to fit very neatly at the end of the Mud guard. The reason for getting it was to keep road muck off the pipes. The double sided tape works well, but there is no way I’m putting screws through the mud guard. It would just look horrible. So, what I did was use liquid weld which has held it perfectly. Once fitted there is small gap the width of a toothpick between the edge of the mud guard and the raised edge of the extension. I felt it looked a little untidy, so I bought black silicone and filled the gap. It now looks a lot neater and keeps all the muck off the bikes pipes. If it were to ship with black silicone and liquid weld as opposed to screws, or if there was no gap after fitment, I would rate it 5.
