Why wouldn't you want to protect your Boxer engine from the unexpected? for me anyway it makes complete sense to install these Wunderlich engine bars to protect your vulnerable engine from a fall or impact, very easy to fit once you've got your head around the instructions, compliment BMWs original frame paint for a seamless match, very happy customer.

As many others have said - very quick delivery. I got the bars after buying my first BMW after decades of Harleys and was nervous I might drop the bike. The quality of the bars give me a real sense of confidence

These bars are great quality and a very easy fit, even with BMW fog lights fitted. The colour exactly matches the BMW silver paint on the frame so they looks look like they are made to be there.

Just fitted a set of engine protection bars to my new (to me) BMW R1250RT. The bars are beautifully made and fitted perfectly. The instructions are clear and easy to follow with one minor error where the written instructions describe using a hex bolt in one mounting point but the diagram shows a torx. Not rocket science to figure out that it is indeed a hex bolt required. I would advise a quick search of YouTube for tips about the panel removal required on the bike, that is not covered by the instructions. All in it took me a couple of hours to fit the bars with the usual 80% of the time fitting one side and figuring out how it all works then whizzing through the second side with all my freshly learned knowledge. I'm a very happy NippyNormans customer , very good product, delivered quickly. Great service.

Look good and good quality but watch the you tube video on fitting them as the instructions that come with them don't say how to remove the 3 panels on each side of the bike, you need to be careful with the coloured panel that has both Velcro and press studs.

Really good engine protection bars. Very easy to install on bike. Looks good on bike. Gives that peace of mind your heads are protected. The bars also offer protection from accidental scrapes when the bike is parked up, it just stops objects being scraped against head.
Watch the on-line videos to see how to fit them correctly, this takes away any concerns of doing yourself.

Bars arrived promptly and were fitted in a couple of hours by a friend who had all the correct tools . Fog lights refitted ok in new position. Instructions don’t cover removal of the 3 panels on each side of the engine. Make sure you watch a YouTube video on this as one panel has Velcro and press studs and could be damaged if not careful. Bought the aluminium effect bars and they match the bike very well. Half the price of Illium bars

Pay careful attention when fitting the bars to the engine/frame. The engine needs to be supported when the original bolts are removed.

Been on the bike from new - not cheap but not much more than the official BMW cylinder head guards either and look the business. Not tested their primary purpose and hopefully wont!

The bars were delivered very promptly to my BMW dealer for fitment.
They seem to fit very well considering it’s a new model which required some changes to the bars for the previous 1200.
I can say I’m very satisfied with the look fit & finish.

As the pictures, solid and good quality fittings. A bit tricky to fit with BMW fog lights, but do-able and certainly a DIY install.

Quality good looking bars from Wunderlich. Easy to fit and snug to cylinder heads. Factory fitted spots are well accomodated with some helpful guidance from Norman.
