Just before changing my last bike I dropped it. My fault. A low speed tumble and the BMW bars (and panniers) saved any damage to the bike. I tried to move them to the new 1250GS but, although the mounting holes are the same, the exhaust on the new bike gets in the way. These are a good alternative. Pros. They are slightly lighter and cheaper. The design is a little better. Cons. Compared to BMW bars they are missing a strut so are possibly not as strong. The instructions are not brilliant - they need reading through a few times before starting. The attachment bolts/nuts/washers are not stainless but chromed steel. Stainless items would be better (which is what I used). NB If you want to use the black slide pads to protect the bars (which is what I should have done in the first place and have done this time around) they need to be fitted before the bars are fitted to the bike.

bike is only used on the road and these crash bars sit neatly on the bike whilst providing the necessary protection. Easy to fit.

Excellent quality. Clear instructions. Perfect fit. Not as intrusive as some other makes, and stainless finish actually enhances the look of the bike IMO.

I bought these as an alternative to the genuine BMW bars as they were significantly cheaper and, in my view, look better. Easy to install (once you read the instructions properly!) seem very secure.

Good product, fits well after carefully reading instructions, but beware nyloc nuts supplied are fit-once products i.e. they shear off if need to be redone

Super quick 3-point fit per side. Still waiting for the centre strut accessory to arrive but job would take about 30 minutes. Re-uses only one original fixing and four of the five other fastenings are already 'vacant' Look great and I also did a short video on fitting them (https://youtu.be/PXirT0L2oz8) NIPPY NORMANS SAYS Thanks for the video - looks good.
