Should work fine but impossible to get the straps tight enough to satisfactorily secure the bag when attaching

Great quality harness but it doesn't fit correctly if you have the BMW tank pad fitted, it looks kind of "baggy" and the fuel filler hole doesn't line up correctly. That being said, once it's on it doesn't move at all and my paintwork is protected from rubbing from the tank bag.

Fitting the base plate to the bike was straightforward, but I found the installation instructions for the bag very vague. The current base plate fitted fine to my 2015 GSA, but the current plate isn’t designed for the Elephant bag I recently bought as a lightly used second-hand item. The current version of the plate seems to rely heavily on a 40mm plastic buckle as the prime mount for the front of the bag. However, my bag has two much smaller buckles, rather than a 40mm one fitted. Fortunately, the previous owner of the bag included various miscellaneous mountings with it, and I’ve been able to lash something together At the front. Not neat, but secure. I’ve not yet worked out a satisfactory solution where the rear of the bag attaches to the plate, however.

Bit of a BA to fit with big hands but once in place it’s nice and secure. Only purchased it to use with a map pocket so can’t comment on it with a tank bag. Works well with map pocket.

All good with the bag.

My 3rd base reflecting changes in bike over the years. Well made and secure as you'd expect from Wunderlich. The fact you can't access the small compartment at the front of the GSA tank is a pain but it's hard to see how they'd get round it. Great item.

The baseplate was as expected although on fitting I've struggled to get it tight enough to fully line up the petrol filler cap. I think its because the baseplate doesn't take account of the rubber tank pad which means the baseplate needs to be slightly longer than designed. It will be fine on bikes without the tank pad.
