I agree with the comments about connectors leave bare metal exposed when pushed together, due to poor fit. Also the end caps to protect them slip off too easily. This let's down a great compressor with some real punch. An item that, though weightier than your small plastic ones, feels like a long lasting product.

The pump inflates your tires quite quickly and effortlessly, the gauge is mostly accurate or around abouts what pressure you stop it at
I was a little worried about the quality of it, as it just looks put together in a back street of China. The connectors don't connect properly, with some of the metal plug exposed when it should seat flush.
I've used it a couple of times, so can't vouche for the durability yet, but I'm interested to see how it goes

A solidly made high quality item. Twinned with a puncture repair kit should get you out of any problems. Really easy to use with the multi connection options. You can adjust tyre pressures quickly. Great product with swift delivery and well packaged.

Love this pump!
Well engineered bit of kit
Will pump up a tyre from flat in a surprisingly short time
Comes with a selection of cables for whatever connection you need
Only gripe is the connection to the valve stem is via a (nice brass) screw-on fitting which allows air out of the tyre as it is fitted and removed meaning you need to add a PSI or two above what you need before removing Then need a separate tyre pressure gauge to fine tune the pressure before your are done

Proved useful on recent camping tour of France. Covering up to about 700km each day, Able to check pressure properly before the start of each days ride rather than trying to find a garage to top up. Takes the guesswork out of filling up with warm tyres. Big difference for bike handling. Tyre connector is fiddly/ poor. I put an angled valve fitting permanantly on the hose end. Much better and easier to use now.

Many portable powered pumps (say that quickly several times..) are weak and cannot run for long - this is a particularly robust and powerful little pump that takes up relatively little space - always good to know it is with me on trips away.

I bought this before hitting the Spanish and Portuguese TETs and was very glad I had. I delayed buying it initially because it’s more expensive than other compressors, but when my friends and I were all deflating/inflating our tyre depending upon the conditions, the quality of this shone through: robust, dependable, powerful and significantly faster than the cheaper models my friends have. Yes you have to wire it to the battery so it doesn’t have the “convenience”of some others, but even after I’d taken the seat off, connected it to the battery adapter, screwed it on to the valves and begun pumping air, I was packed away and back on the bike by the the time they’d both done one tyre. I haven’t yet had to use it following a puncture, but have every confidence that it won’t let me down. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Great compact compressor that really pumps hard. Not quite hard enough to seal the bead on my new tyres, which required a big initial blast of air to force the beads to seal. Also the connector must be screwed onto the valve which is a little fiddly, hence only 4 stars

After a lengthy consideration of all the other pumps that are available I decided on the Desert Fox and ordered from Nippy Normans. Within 48 hrs I received the parcel which was a little battered and I was disappointed to find that one of the plastic feet had been damaged in transit.
The response from Customer Service was extremely helpful and I received a replacement pump the following day.
After reading through the manual (!!!) and examining all of the components in the kit, I fitted the fused power cable to my bike with no problems at all and in less time than it took to remove and replace the body panels.
A test showed that this solidly built pump would rapidly inflate my tyres with no trouble at all, though I would prefer the knurnling on the valve connector to be more defined and offer better grip. I found the pressure gauge to be quite accurate but that it helped to go slightly over pressure to allow for air loss when removing the connector then check with my pocket gauge.
I’m pleased with my choice and confident that it will be a reliable piece of equipment.

Searched for a compressor to use with the Din plug if my Triumph, on first appearance this seemed to fit the bill. Once received and went to use I discovered that similar to BMW the supplied Din plug is worthless as the Triumph does not provide sufficient power from the socket, had to feed it through the battery using the supplied ring terminal lead. Overall a very good compressor not as small as described due to the stand and hose. Would recommend

I had a quest to find a small but quality compressor for years. This looks like it and had good reviews so I ordered. I received it with one rubber leg missing, but also the supplied electric cables' connectors are not great quality. When pugged to each other, there is a gap remaining, when not plugged the cap does not stay on the connector, exposing it to the elements (in case of building it in to the motorbike for good).
I have CTEK's charger with similar accessories but much better quality which pairs with the premium price. It's a pity Desert Fox didn't pay attention to these details.
Anyway, I still hope the compressor itself is good quality - didn't have to use it yet.

Canister itself is probably no larger than a red bull can however pressure gauge does add to the space required to store it. Its seriously heavy for its size which I suspect means it is highly durable / reliable for serious adventure trips. Suspect I will just keep it for longer trips and use my portable repair kit most of the time but useful to have as an option for anything more serious.

Just what any motorcyclist on long journeys requires. Awesome pump. Having previously had punctures and used mini gas bottles to inflate, this pump does it to full pressure in no time. Fits in with kit easily. Worth every penny to me and will be in our kit for the upcoming European trip. Actually, so good, I bought two and gave one to a friend. That’s what biker friends do.

Whilst touring in France in May 2022 I picked up a puncture on the rear tire. I was in a remote area and needed to complete a self recovery. Having plugged the hole. The Desert Fox pump inflated the rear tire extremely quickly and I was able to continue my journey. This is a must have for any motorcyclist who does not want to wait hours for a breakdown service to arrive. I would highly recommend this pump. It is strong, reliable and something that I can personally vouch for, a must for any Tourer.

Exceptional device. I had formerly had a smaller plastic compressor, which worked very slowly, overheated and stalled. The Fox is a pleasure to use (not that I want any more punctures) and the adaptor to run off the battery is easily fitted. Excellent value, great piece of practical touring insurance.

I use a larger version of this pump on my vehicles, specifically to pump up Land Cruiser tyres after de-airing them prior to driving in soft sand -it’s a proper, robust air-pump that will not fail, unlike some of the cheap pumps one can buy. The Desert Fox Mini Compressor is the motorcycling equivalent, I’m sure it will last for years, and be dependable as and when needed. Very well built, but just a bit too large to fit in a pannier-frame mounted tool-box, mine is kept in my top-box along with a puncture repair kit so I know I will not be stranded anywhere with a puncture

Top quality pump that is quiet and powerful while remaining compact. Plenty of lead length on the battery attach side allows the wire to be routed tidily to the back of the under seat area and the lead from this connector easily covers using the pump on the front wheel, and othr bikes while it's out. The inline pressure guage is a real let down though, it reads over 5 psi high, potentially leaving riders running underinflated tyres. As it's crimped in I can't even throw it away. It's very quiet compared to others I've seen, and very quick to inflate tyres fully. Looks like it's built to last too, so only loses one star for the crappy guage. Recommended.
