this is exactly what they say it is. for the money it does the job well. someone mentioned it is hard to read. stand infront of it and it is as clear as a bell to read. it is a decorative item, it is low-ish cost and tells you the temp, it is ideal.

Nippy Normans were excellent on price and delivery so no complaints re them BUT I find this item (even when reduced) to be over priced for what it is. It is made from a thin metal which is no major issue and I like the retro looks but the temperature display is frankly pants. You have to look at it head on to see what it says as its small and only visible from a certain angle. I wish i had bought a digital one. It looks nice as an feature and the temperature is accurate so not all bad. I would sum up if you want a really visible and useful display go for something else. If you are happy with the retro look this is fine
