I have just done a 500m round trip with these muffs in wet and cold conditions (around 7c) wearing my totaly unlined summer gloves -- my hands were fine despite not having heated grips.
You do need to get used to them though as they can feel a bit restricive, careful positioning of the muffs helps to minimize this feeling.
They are superbly made and should last for years.

"I don't recall that the recommended method of fixing them on was to bring the bolt holding the bar end caps through the muffs, but it works a treat. The muffs take very little time to get used to and provide great protection from wind and rain. Used them down to 3 deg C the other evening and at 70mph they still kept fingers v warm"
