The AltRider oil cooler cover tucks neatly inside the beak of the BMW R1200GS, providing protection for the critical and expensive oil cooler. The lightweight, louvered design allows maximum air flow while protecting against rocks, road debris and the occasional branch.
Pre-attached adhesive pads on the guard ensure that it installs in the most effective location, using predetermined places on the oil cooler. The beak of the R1200GS wasn't made to carry weight or stress, so it's essential to correctly install the cooler guard. That's why we designed ours so it was nearly impossible to install it any other way.
