Had to use extended bracket to get it to fit on Transalp. Would have preferred a more strident tone, but it still gets you noticed

The horn is louder than the original that's fitted but I left the original one in place and wired the MSX in parallel. Fitting it was easy on the left hand side of the bike. Cut the wires to the existing horn and fit a connector to run two new wires to the new horn. The new horn fits neatly under the throttle controller box.

Can't believe that BMW put in such a wimpy stock horn on a bike that's close to $30K US. The Magnum MSX horn is a perfect alternative that's truly plug 'n play. No issues with tight fitting or a need to run a separate relay. And this puppy is loud! Will definitely get the attention of all the soccer Moms who are texting while driving their gas guzzling behemoth SUVs.

The horn MSX 136DB is very important to afraid alls animals when I do a trip,
camels in Marocco, or goat in Laddakh, and next time lama in Bolivia,,
and sometimes to do my hire againts cars,
I choose this one because is very strong and a bike very small...

The horn on my sons Triumph Speed Triple stopped working and after a few attempts at adjusting it, he decided to go for the Nippy Norman Magnum.
When placing the order I purchased two, the second for my own K1200s with a can bus connection lead. So it can be removed and put on my next BMW
It is important to use the two fixing plates supplied when fitting to the K12 as using the BMW original ones will fowl the fork leg on full lock.
Great Horne's - well manufactured, loads of noise.

I two bikes with this horn fitted. One the R1200GS I have it 'piggy backed'
to the original horn so that they both come on at the same time. This does not affect the canbus. I also have one fitted to my Yamaha Tenere.
The horn is very loud and easy to fit. It does everything I want of it.
Make sure however that it is mounted so that water cannot get down the
trumpet or you may have no horn when you most need it, although it can
soon be cleared by repeat operation.
In conclusion....good product at a fair price.
This compact horn is 136dB compared to the originals 110dB and si nce decibels are a measurement which doubles for every 3 extra decibels , the Magnum IS MUCH LOUDER THAN THE PUNY ORIGINAL HORN !!!

When fitting the Magnum horn to these bikes there is no adverse effect on the Can-Bus system. There are two methods of connection:
1. Cut off the original horn connector and attach spade connectors to the two lose wires. These then connect onto the Magnum horn
OR
2. Use our Hard wiring kit for BMW bikes with Can-Bus wiring.
