Park the bike, set up the outer sheet of the tent and you are instantly out of the elements for erecting the inner tent. When you are ready to take off in the morning you can pack up the inner tent, the ground sheet and your gear onto the bike all within the comfort and shelter of the outer sheet.
Finally, roll up the outer sheet and you are ready to go.
When you are not circling the globe our tent is equally functional and comfortable for use at bike rallies, for car camping, or for families bicycle camping.

FEQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to seal the seams?
All of The Nomad Tent Company tents leave the factory fully sealed and are waterproof right out of the stuff sack. There is no need to apply any seam sealant to a new tent. If after a few seasons of hard use you notice water coming through a seam we recommend spot sealing with Seam Grip.

Can I put the tent up over the bike?
Absolutely. We also know you are experienced travelers and riders, you've been doing this long enough, and we know that you have your own way of doing things. We've set the tent up in every possible scenario, but most of the time we pitch the outer flysheet, open the doors and ride in. Fully loaded bikes are heavy, if we don't position the bike just right, it's easier to ride around and do it again.

Can an adventure bike fit in the tent?
We assume you mean a full size GS/KTM with boxes, oversize tank, tall screen and perched on the center stand? The answer is yes. This is what the tent was designed for; an adventure bike, your dirt bikes, sport bikes or even lounge chairs if you are car camping. It will all fit like a dream.
What happens if the bike falls in the tent?
This is an easy question to shirk. We don't believe in shirking anything, as any seasoned rider will tell you the bike is going to tipple over at some stage. The golden rule is, when you park the bike inside the tent, if you are not on stable ground and are putting the bike on the side stand, have the bike lean AWAY from the inner sleeping tent. May we repeat, we've logged many miles testing this tent under variable conditions, and we've dealt with most situations: When you park the bike inside the tent, if you are not on stable ground and are putting the bike on the side stand, have the bike lean AWAY from the inner sleeping tent.

Can I use the tent without the inner?
Yes, we designed the tent this way. You only need the outer to set up. If you want to travel with just the outer and our optional ground sheet, it's a great weight saver and the tent packs smaller. That said, the inner tent with the mosquito net, floor and double wall is the most comfortable way to go.

What protects the groundsheet?
Only the inner tent area has a ground sheet covering. The garage area has no flooring so you can ride your bike in without fear of damaging a ground sheet.

Can we fit more than one bike in the tent?
If you are using the inner tent, only one adventure bike with panniers will fit comfortably. If you are using just the outer fly sheet you'll just have to configure the parking. We've parked one bike, set up the tent, and then ridden the other in. Two regular dirt bikes fit in the garage.

Can two riders sleep in the tent?
If this tent was classed as all tent manufactures do, this would be a 5 person tent. This is a proper two-person tent for motorcycle adventurers. We mean two riders with their gear. We all know the problem , you pick a two person tent, then spend the night sandwiched like sardines while your boots collect rainwater outside. Bring it all inside. There are real storage areas. You can even fit a queen size air bed in the sleeping compartment.

The tent is tall, how well does it work in high winds?
We at Nomad Tent, hate guy ropes. You know the deal, you head out of the tent in the middle of the night and end up flat on your face. Most of the time you won't need the guy ropes out, but if you cannot pitch away from the wind, face the lower end of the tent into the wind and the garage away from it. If you are expecting rain, definitely peg the two top guy ropes in to prevent sagging. And when you wander in the middle of the night, remember the guy ropes are out there.

Fits:
2 humans and 1 bike.
Bikes like the R1200GS will fit easily, touring bikes like the R1200RT - just remove the top box and the tent can be closed. If using 2 enduro bikes these will both fit in together.
